Buka Puasa at In Colonial Restaurant, The Intermark

Fancy something else than a buffet for buka puasa? Team E.T.A knows a place that offers proper homey food that will be such a comfort to the tummy this Ramadan.

 photo IMG_0721_zpslsve7qv1.jpg

One could easily mistake the restaurant for serving Western food, but don’t let the appearance fool you. In Colonial is actually a restaurant specialized in serving Chinese food.

They have a few set meals that you can chppse from but here’s sharing what we managed to try during their Ramadan media preview:

 photo IMG_0763_zpsmprhra5q.jpg

A platter of appetizer: Swiss Spring Rolls, Shrimp Ravioli, Mango Prawn Rolls, Noodlefish with Salt and Chilli and last but not least, Beef and Chicken Skewers.

 photo IMG_0769_zpsbpkclrpe.jpg

Here’s some of the chef recommended dishes that we manage to try that day: In Colonial Black Pepper Rib Eye Cubes, Steamed Sea Garoupa in Lemon Juice, Admiral Butter Tiger Prawns, Padprik Veggies, Claypot Oysters and Seafood, and last but not least, Golden Brown Minced Garlic Scallops.

 photo IMG_0776_zpswzvavcp4.jpg

In Colonial Black Pepper Rib Eye Cubes. Well seasoned with pepper, this will warm up your body in a jiffy.

 photo IMG_0780_zps6l0jzchr.jpg

Steamed Sea Garoupa in Lemon Juice is rather refreshing and the fish have no fishy smell whatsoever. Quite a pleasant dish to have on it’s own or pair it with rice.

 photo IMG_0781_zpsgwrrzytf.jpg

Admiral Butter Tiger Prawns. Succulent, fresh prawns with oceanic flavours still intact. Perfectly flavoured and not overly done that it drowns the naturally flavours.

 photo IMG_0784_zpsh8rsnoiw.jpg

Padprik Vege. Nothing to complain and nothing to shout about. We think that the dish is rather ordinary.

 photo IMG_0797_zpsrfekz4od.jpg

Claypot Oysters and Seafood was sensational. Everyone at the table seems to love this dish.

 photo IMG_0795_zpszzfknyjj.jpg

Golden Brown Minced Garlic Scallops is another favourite that night. The scallops was fresh and well-seasoned.

 photo IMG_0746_zpsnnitfvfd.jpg

We had these to wash our food with. Some fancy fruit juices.

 photo IMG_20150520_211318_zpsanzbjqdh.jpg

We ended our meal with this, herbal jelly with honey.

Overall, the meal satiated our appetite and for the coming Ramadan 2015, In Colonial Restaurant is offering sets similar to what we had for RM80 per pax. Quite a good deal for such satisfying meal.

Cuti Cuti 1Malaysia 2014 Negeri Sembilan with Sahabat Media

Following our previous trip, Negeri Sembilan, a state known for its Adat Pepatih became the preferred location for the Cuti Cuti 1Malaysia Sahabat Media program. Here is a recap of the trip:

Sahabat Media entourage arrived Klana Resort Seremban. The resort is located within the park, surrounded by trees greenery. Klana Resort Seremban is famous as one of the best team building. Here we had a chance to try some team building activities such as flying fox and abseiling. Forces that oversees the program team building here pretty experienced and trained. Traditional music greets our arrival in the lobby while we were greeted by the acting General Manager Klana Resort, Mr Saiful Bahri and YB Abu Samah Mahat.

While enjoying refreshments, a press conference was held. Then we had lunch in Xinjiang Restaurant, a Chinese restaurant in Klana Resort Seremban. Do not worry about eating here because the restaurant is certified halal and the chef, Chef Ho Tui Kit is experienced in Chinese Muslim cuisine. The menu should be tried is deep fried cod fish with Thai Sauce, braised shark fin soup with crab meat, chicken with dried chilli and cashew nuts and many more. Klana Resort Seremban also offers a Japanese restaurant, Yuri Japanese Restaurant too.
 photo MJ1_2257_zps919bd26a.jpg
Klana Resort Seremban has also taken the initiative to introduce Klana Steamed Nasi Lemak. Steamed nasi lemak special the specialty of Shura, Celebrity Master Chef.
